GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ohio (October 2013) — This Thanksgiving, bid farewell to the kitchen and let The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake prepare dinner for you, your family and friends at their annual Thanksgiving Day Buffet, Thursday, November 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This year’s Thanksgiving buffet will begin with an appetizer station including salads, assorted artisan cheeses, fresh fruit and roasted acorn squash bisque.  Carving stations will include herb marinated turkey breast and slow roasted prime rib. Guests will enjoy a variety of other dishes, including sweet potato mash with marshmallows and brown sugar, sausage & sage stuffing, vegetarian white lasagna and so much more.  Be sure to save room for the Chef’s selection of artisan desserts, which will include cakes, pies and an assortment of other sweet endings.

Ultimate Gingerbread Challenge- Saturday, November 30
Over the holiday weekend, get ready for some fierce competition as teams compete to make their best gingerbread creations!
The Lodge is hosting its second annual Ultimate Gingerbread Challenge, complete with treats and prizes, on Saturday, November 30, beginning at 11am. A candy buffet and all the materials needed to build the best house on the block will be provided by The Lodge.
Competitors (with teams of up to six people) will have two hours to decorate a house. At 2 p.m., the gingerbread creations will be displayed and judged. The awards ceremony will cap off the event at 2:30 p.m.
