Don’t like to take the same vacation twice? In Ohio, you never have to, because every year there’s something new to see.
Coming in 2017: a classic wooden coaster at Kings Island, a zipline tour at Geneva State Park, waterslides in Sandusky and Star Wars costumes in Cincinnati.
There are more than a dozen new sights and attractions coming to Ohio this year, scattered across the state. Some are already open; others won’t be ready until fall. All are guaranteed crowd pleasers, at least for some segment of the traveling public.

From the wineries of Ashtabula County to the polar bears at the Toledo Zoo, there's a lot to see along Lake Erie's Ohio coast.
How much have you seen? If the answer is "not much," here's your chance.
The seven visitors bureaus along Ohio's Lake Erie shore have joined forces to draw attention to the state's Great Lake. They've created a seven-day vacation prize package, dubbed Tour the Shore, that one lucky traveler will win - but hopefully many more will experience.

A beer-tasting dinner showcasing beers from New Belgium Brewing Co. takes place at 6:30 p.m. March 10 at the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake.
Superior Beverage, the distributor for New Belgium, will present the beers, which will include Fat Tire, the craft beer for which New Belgium has become best known. The interactive tasting reception and dinner will assure that tasters gain a greater understand of the beers, which also include Voodoo Ranger, Citradelic, Tartatsic and a pair of Belgian-style beers.

Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake to build zipline course with views of Lake Erie
The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, the popular state park resort in Ashtabula County, is adding a zipline course that will ready by mid-summer.
Lake Erie Canopy Tours, spread across 25 acres of Geneva State Park, will feature nine zipline sections, including a side-by-side double zip, swinging bridges, water crossings and views of Lake Erie from two 60-foot towers.

Visitors to The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake will have a new attraction to try this summer.
Lake Erie Canopy Tours, a zip line course featuring both a guided canopy tour and a self-guided challenge course for adults, as well as a course for kids, will open this summer, the lodge announced on Monday, Jan. 23.
Geneva-on-the-Lake tourism growing by leaps and bounds
With Labor Day as its annual yard stick, Geneva-on-the-Lake and Ashtabula County’s tourism revenues have continued to rise.
Stephanie Seigel, executive director of the Ashtabula County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said tourism is an integral and driving component of the Ashtabula County economy and one of the most important sources of these revenues is Geneva-on-the-Lake.

The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake to add 25 lakefront cottages by summer
The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, the 11-year-old state park lodge in Ashtabula County, will open 25 cottages on its lakefront land in time for next year's busy summer season.
The two-bedroom cottages will be built immediately to the east of the 109-room lodge, most with views of Lake Erie. Eric Frantz, general manager of the lodge, said he expects the new cottages, which will sleep six, to be extremely popular.
